Hotel Bedroom In London

I had recently been on a business trip to London, and had stayed in one of the top Mayfair hotel chains, and was quite disappointed with the standard of the room for the price that I had paid. I had reserved a double room for a friend and myself.

The room had the two beds that were needed and they were very comfortable to be honest. I’m not sure what type the mattress was but it felt like memory foam, as you seemed to sink in to the mattress, the mattress had two big soft pillows with white pillowcases, and the mattress had a white linen cover. The quilt was very soft and warm with a patterned design on it. The bed at the top end where the pillows were featured a big wooden headboard that had some type of carving inlayed in to it.
The room it self was not too big as it was designed for two people. It also seemed to be cluttered up with tables and dressing tables with no room to move around properly. It was nice to have a table to work on and to have a big dressing table with a mirror for getting ready but they should have thought of the size of the room. The décor was not appealing either as it made the room seem darker even with the lights on. The wallpaper seemed quite old and bland as though it was something from the nineteen sixties with dark wooden lining.

The bathroom was also quite small and did not have a shower just a bath, toilet and a sink. It looked quite nice just no space, and was decorated completely different to the rest of the room and was quite lighter, the décor for the bathroom was very fitting but I believe that it could have been designed much better for how much the room was per night and for the standard of the hotel. I thing the only piece of the room I actually liked was the rug at the foot of the bed as it looked like a hand made Persian rug.
